Getting Natural Results With Facelift Surgery

While celebrities may have what we term ‘extreme surgery’ to reverse the effects of ageing, most people want to understand how they get natural results with facelift surgery

Rarely do our patients want to look 30 when they’re 50, rather they want to look the very best version of themselves with a carefully-planned and well-considered facelift procedure. When you’ve had a facelift, the best compliment someone can pay is to say: ‘you look well’.  Most people don’t want it to be obvious they’ve had a facelift.

Our aim is to help you look younger and fresher, not completely different, by rejuvenating the face and enhancing your natural features.  The key to natural results is to look for subtle changes, these can often make the biggest difference to someone’s appearance.

Our team of highly experienced plastic surgeons know exactly how to do this, having worked with more than 1,000 patients to help them look and feel their very best, whatever stage of life they’re in.

During the initial consultation – the first step in your journey with Manchester Plastic Surgery – your surgeon will assess your skin and bone structure.  They will talk to you about your motivations for surgery, also. This detailed discussion leads to a mutual understanding and enables your surgeon to consider which type of face lift surgery will be most suitable.

Some patients will require more extensive surgery than others, but whatever route is right for you, we will seek to ensure a natural result.

Face lift surgery options

Facelift options include the mini face lift, a face and neck lift or an extended facelift.

  • Mini face lift – the lest invasive form of face lift, also known as a ‘short scar’ face lift. This procedure will address the jawline and cheek as well as the upper neck to some extent.

  • Face and neck lift – this treatment concentrates mainly on the lower section of the face but extends further behind the ear than the mini face lift. It also addresses sagging skin around the neck.

  • Extended face lift – this procedure mirrors the face and neck lift but also extends higher up the face into the temporal region. It involves lifting the lateral brow, crow’s feet and cheek.

Initial consultation

During your initial consultation, your surgeon will give you a good idea of the results that can realistically be achieved. This means you can make an informed decision about whether face lift surgery is right for you.  Please get in touch to find out more.
