The ageing process affects different people in different ways, particularly where your skin is concerned.
While some people embrace the physical signs of ageing, others prefer to keep themselves looking younger for as long as possible.
Of course, a facelift or a mini facelift is a significant procedure, so weighing up the pros and cons is essential when making your decision, and we know that price is a major consideration. Many people want to know how much a mini facelift is or how much a full facelift costs before they make their decision.
In recent years it has become increasingly common for people to travel abroad for cheap plastic surgery, but this economy has not always paid off. Other countries have different standards for plastic surgery services, and the lower price often reflects a less regulated environment. There are lots of additional complications with travelling abroad for cheap plastic surgery, not least the difficulty in maintaining follow-up appointments or holding the surgeon to account if things don’t to go plan.
How much does a facelift cost?
The price of a facelift will vary from practice to practice and even within our practice there are a range of techniques depending on your degree of facial ageing. A mini or mid-face lift may cost around £5250 but if you have a full face and neck lift with Manchester Plastic Surgery you can expect to pay from £8000. This reflects the training and experience of our facelift surgery specialist, Mr Christopher Jones, and his team.
When considering the cost of a facelift, you should take into account the fact that the cost includes the surgical procedure and at least one nights’ stay in hospital, usually two and all the follow up and post operative care you need until you and your surgeon are both happy with your result.
Why choose a mini / mid facelift?
A mini facelift is a good option to consider if you’re in your late 30s to 50s, and have good tone and shape in the neck.
The main difference between a full facelift and a mini / mid facelift is the length of the incisions made in the skin. In a mini/mid facelift, much shorter incisions are made, usually just under the eyelids.
As a consequence, recovery time is shorter and bruising/swelling is less. Patients having undergone a mini / mid facelift may well be able to return to work within 10 -14 days.
What to do next
If you would like to explore what’s involved in facelift surgery, you can book an initial consultation with Mr Christopher Jones. This consultation will allow Mr Jones to assess your skin and facial structure to give you a good idea of the results that could be achieved. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions so that you can make an informed decision about whether facelift surgery is right for you.
