# How To Choose The Best Facelift Surgeon For You

No matter how much you want a facelift or how much research you have done into the procedure itself, there will come a point where you need to choose the best facelift surgeon for you. And, when the question of how to choose the best facelift surgeon arises, it is important to look at the issue from two angles. Firstly, you’ll need to opt for someone who has the experience and technical skills to give you great results. Secondly, you need someone you feel comfortable with, someone who you feel understands what you want to achieve.

## Experience counts

Trust is one of the most important things that you must have when choosing a facelift surgeon. Initially, before you meet your surgeon, you may like to look at the reviews they have received from other patients.

At Manchester Plastic Surgery, we offer one of the leading facelift teams in the UK, with two highly experienced and well-respected surgeons, and our established practice has become one of the busiest practices for facial rejuvenation in the area.

[Mr James Murphy](https://www.manchesterplasticsurgery.com/our-team/#1), Medical Director for Manchester Plastic Surgery, is one of the UK’s leading cosmetic surgeons. He has a large volume of reviews and case studies which will help you view his extensive track record and put your trust in him to achieve your dream results.

Mr Murphy regularly contributes to [Real Self](https://www.realself.com/dr/james-murphy-manchester-united-kingdom), a global platform where people can submit questions about plastic surgery to be answered by other Real Self members. On this platform, Mr Murphy regularly answers questions regarding all kinds of plastic surgery procedures. It’s often helpful to read these direct questions and answers as they give you a patient’s perspective of the experience of plastic surgery and answer questions that you may not have known you had.

Real Self also allows patients who have undergone procedures to leave reviews of their surgeons, with Mr Murphy receiving 5 stars in all areas, including ‘bedside manner’, ‘time spent with me’, ‘aftercare’ and ‘phone or email responsiveness’ – exemplifying his dedication to patient care and satisfaction.

## Case studies

Another tip that will help you to achieve peace of mind when you’re on the hunt for the best facelift surgeon is to review [before and after pictures](https://www.manchesterplasticsurgery.com/face-lift-surgery/#face-lift-surgery-before-and-after-photos).

[Mr Adam Goodwin](https://www.manchesterplasticsurgery.com/our-team/#2) is our specialist in all aspects of surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Having run his own independent facial aesthetic practice for 7 years, Mr Goodwin joined Manchester Plastic Surgery in 2016 and boasts impressive before and after results for his facelift patients.

## Research the practice

On top of your surgeon’s expertise, choosing a facelift surgeon can also come down to the environment and aftercare. Our surgeons operate from the state-of-the-art Spire Hospital in Manchester, a top-class facility which opened in January 2017. You can be sure that you will have all the amenities to hand to be comfortable during your stay with us.

Ultimately, the only way to know if you’ve found the best facelift surgeon for you is to meet them. Our consultants host initial meetings with all patients who are considering having a plastic surgery treatment. At present these are taking place over Zoom but we will soon begin to book face-to-face consultations at the Spire Hospital Manchester. Please get in touch.
