Consultation
Upon arrival at her consultation, Hannah explained how her nerves were quickly set at ease by the friendly and professional atmosphere of the clinic and welcoming Practice Manager, Pam Barth.
Mr Murphy discussed and identified the details of Hannah’s concerns and drew up a virtual image using a 3D imaging software. He virtually projected a new nose onto a 3D image of Hannah’s face and worked in collaboration with her to design her perfect nose. This process assured Hannah that she had chosen the right surgeon, as Mr Murphy was keen to have her input and opinion on the outcome, tailoring the graphic to suit her. In the consultation he was also extremely open and transparent about every aspect of the procedure and associated risks, enhancing Hannah’s trust in him. Leaving the first consultation, Hannah was excited for her rhinoplasty.
As the days passed, Hannah reviewed the before-and-after graphic and decided she would prefer if the bridge could be moved closer to her face. Before her second consultation with Mr Murphy, Hannah noted to mention the changes she wished to be made to the results, to ask Mr Murphy if he thought it was achievable.

Surgery

While she did have fears of going under anaesthetic and a concern that the procedure might alter other elements of face, she felt confident that her concerns were listened to and her mind was put at ease that Mr Murphy could deliver her dream results - fixing her insecurities and keeping her appearance natural.
Entering the anaesthetist’s room, Hannah’s pre-operative nerves were settled by the excellent team who continued to speak with her, relaxing her into the process and once again reassuring her that she was receiving the very highest standards of clinical care.
Post-operative Care
Upon waking up from her surgery, Hannah says she received an exceptional standard of post-operative care from the team at Manchester’s world-class Spire Hospital. Before leaving the state-of-the-art private suite, Mr Murphy informed Hannah that she would be in some discomfort for the next week, most likely having a day or two that would be quite painful.
For the first week, Hannah experienced some swelling around her cheeks and eyes, but this went down rather quickly following the advice given my Dr Murphy. After just four weeks, Hannah felt able to undertake her daily activities and return to normal life.
The Results
The moment Hannah had the splint removed was an incredible experience. Seeing her results confirmed to her that she had chosen the correct surgeon who gave her a new nose that was even better than she’d imagined.
Now six months post-op, having met with Mr Murphy to discuss her healing, Hannah describes the process from consultation to recovery as easy and comfortable.
