If breast augmentation (enlargement) WITHOUT surgery sounds too good to be true, you’re right.
Whilst a simple Google search for non-surgical breast augmentation may lead you to think the opposite, it’s simply not possible to enlarge your breasts with satisfactory results without the help of surgical implants.
Technology and surgical procedures are advancing all the time, so perhaps in the future it may be possible to do so without surgery, but certainly not at present, despite what you may read. The simple truth is that if you want an enhanced chest without surgery, a push-up bra will be your best bet.
What is a non-surgical breast augmentation?
You’ll find plenty of lotions and potions on the internet when you search for non-surgical breast enlargement. You may also find some interesting stories of people who invent special machines which, when worn for a prolonged period, apparently make your breasts bigger. Amusing reading certainly but also rather disturbing. There is no shortage of convincing packaging and high prices for these items. Unfortunately, what they make up for in marketing, they lack in evidence of results.
Whilst practitioners that perform non-surgical breast augmentation can be referring to a variety of treatments, the most common one is ‘fat transfer breast enlargement’. This involves liposuction on a fatty area of the body, such as the tummy, and then the addition of the fat to the chest area to create an appearance of fuller breasts.
Whilst the concept may sound convincing, it’s important to note that it would be highly unlikely that fat would be transferred into exactly the right area and to be sure that the deposit will be the right amount, the right shape and the right consistency. Even if the fat graft went well, it would be very difficult to be sure that the deposit would, ultimately, stay in place, particularly over a long period of time.
We keep a watching brief on all new or innovative treatments, including the procedures outlined above, but there is no convincing evidence that liposuction/fat grafting gives good consistent results. Some practitioners purport that you get double benefits in that you get sculpted in one area of the body (through the removal of fat) and enhanced in another (through the depositing of fat in specific areas, like the breasts). However, until the practice becomes refined, we would advise that you avoid.
Ultimately, at present, there is no shortcut to a satisfactory breast enlargement procedure. Surgery performed by an experienced, qualified plastic surgeon is the best route to predictably great results.
