What to Expect at a Brow Lift Consultation

When you’re considering having any kind of plastic surgery treatment, it’s extremely important to know you’re working with a surgeon you know, like and trust. Equally, for us, it’s important to know we are working with patients for whom we can get good results. In practice, this means taking the time to ensure we have a very clear shared vision of what the end results will be.

For many people, this website is the start of their journey with Manchester Plastic Surgery. We are sure you will appreciate, our approach is not to encourage you to have surgery but to provide information about what effect your treatment is likely to have and to tell you plainly about what’s involved. You can see on each of our treatment pages that we want to highlight both the benefits but also the risks, so you can make an informed choice about whether plastic surgery is right for you.

If, once you’ve read about your treatment, you’d like to explore the issue further, the next step is to book an initial consultation. All our initial consultations are conducted with the surgeon who would ultimately carry out your treatment. While other providers organise initial consultations with business managers, we believe the best approach is to speak to a plastic surgeon – not a sales person – straight away.

Most people appreciate an open, honest and transparent conversation with their plastic surgeon which means our team will tell you (politely!) if they believe you have unrealistic expectations of surgery. The last thing we want is to perform surgery and for you to remain unhappy with your appearance.

If a brow lift is something you’re considering, then an initial consultation will enable your surgeon to give you a very good idea about whether your expectations can be achieved.

You should expect them to ask you about your motivations for surgery and what a good result would look like in your mind. They will also be able to discuss the best approach to addressing your problem, talking you through what’s involved. Expect to answer questions about your general health and any health conditions that may run in your family as this may affect how your surgeon approaches your treatment.

During this consultation, we’ll cover any preparation you need to do before you come in for surgery. We’ll also talk to you about any pain or discomfort you’re likely to experience and the medication we can provide to help you recover.

Whilst your surgeon is likely to tell you everything you need to know about preparation, treatment and recovery, it’s also a great opportunity for you to ask questions about any aspect of surgery. You should feel comfortable enough to ask any question, we appreciate that it’s important to tell you everything you need to know.

Ultimately, the initial consultation should leave you properly informed so you can decide if plastic surgery is right for you.
